We're so excited to have you in the club. Below are a few important next steps to help you get started, along with an overview of our two signature members-only tournaments: the Five Boroughs Golf Tour and the Match Play City Circuit.
We launched a new web app for the 2026 season. It includes:
- The tour leaderboard
- A members directory
- A course review system
- An easy way to host and join rounds with other members

Our signature season-long competition. Play on your schedule, compete monthly, and chase the title of King / Queen of the Five Boroughs.
For 2026, the Tour uses Stableford scoring, where you earn points on each hole instead of counting total strokes. Bad holes are capped and aggressive play is rewarded.
Stableford Scoring (per hole)
Your round score is your total points across all holes.
Leaderboards: Net Stableford and Gross Stableford. You choose which leaderboard to compete in based on your handicap and remain in that category for the season.
How It Works
- One designated course each month
- Play one round with another FBGC member
- Scores count toward the monthly leaderboard
- Monthly winners earn prizes
Points accumulate across the season.
Top 100 players qualify for the Tour Finals in September (date and course TBA).
A limited availability 32-team, 2v2 match play tournament played alongside the Tour.
This is head-to-head golf — win holes, advance rounds, and survive the bracket.
How It Works
- Teams are placed into a bracket
- One match per round with a ~30-day playing window
- Match play scoring (+1 / -1 per hole)
- Winner advances
The Match Play schedule follows the same courses as the Five Boroughs Golf Tour, so one round can count toward both competitions.
Finals are played in September.
Sign Up for Match PlayAs part of your membership, you'll receive your official GHIN through our partnership with the Metropolitan Golf Association (MGA). This may take 3–5 days so please be patient with us.
A few key things to know:
- Your USGA GHIN will be billed directly to Five Boroughs Golf Club as long as your FBGC membership is active. You should no longer see a separate GHIN charge.
- If you currently have a GHIN through MGA that's expiring soon, it will automatically renew under Five Boroughs Golf Club at no additional cost. Your GHIN number will stay the same.
- If you have auto-renew turned on for your existing GHIN, please cancel it to avoid being charged.
- If your GHIN is registered outside of MGA, be sure to cancel that account to avoid double billing.
If your membership includes a complimentary swing evaluation at Five Iron Golf, please allow up to two weeks for the Five Iron team to reach out to you directly via email to schedule your session.
