✺ FAQ ✺

  • Yes! If you don’t have a teammate, we’ll pair you with another solo player before the tournament starts.

  • At the start of each round, we’ll email you and your opponents. You’ll have approximately one month to coordinate your match at one of the two assigned courses for that round. You are responsible for green fees for the first four rounds. If you qualify for the finals your round at Bally’s will be comped.

  • Thursday, May 9 at 11:59 PM.
Bracket and first matchups will be announced the following week.

  • Each player plays their own ball.

Strokes are awarded based on the difference between each player's handicaps, not full handicaps.

The higher handicap player(s) receive strokes on the hardest holes according to the stroke index.

Each team's best net score per hole determines who wins the hole.

For example, Player A is 14 handicap and Player B is 10 handicap. Player A gets 4 strokes total during the match — applied to the 4 hardest holes (lowest stroke index holes on the course).

The easiest way to determine who gets how many strokes is to enter everyone’s GHINs into the USGA or MGA app.

  • You have 7 days after receiving your matchup to request a new opponent if scheduling isn’t possible.

If a teammate is unavailable for an extended time, matches must proceed 2v1 to avoid forfeiture.

  • Each round must be played at one of two pre-assigned Five Boroughs courses. Course options for each month are listed above and are the same courses as our Five Boroughs Cup for convenience.

  • If a match isn’t completed by the round deadline (and no communication to info@fiveboroughsgolf.com was made), both teams will forfeit.

  • You can email us at info@fiveboroughsgolf.com with any additional questions.
