Join us on Saturday, July 12th for great vibes and friendly competition.

Five Boroughs Golf Club members have been invited to compete in the Vegas Golf Series — a national tournament traditionally reserved for private golf clubs.

The 1st place gross score and the top 2 net score teams from the Pelham Bay tournament will be invited to represent New York City at the NY Regionals at Engineers Country Club. You will compete against some of NY State’s top private clubs for a chance to reach the $100K Championship at The Revere Golf Club in Las Vegas.

All skill levels are welcome! The Regionals and Finals are both two-man net best ball formats!

It is up to you if you want to compete in the following rounds! Use the code BASIC for a reduced entry fee if you’re only interested in the single-day outing.

  • Yes! If you don’t have a teammate, we’ll pair you with another solo player before the tournament starts.

  • There are no minimum handicap requirements for this format given that we consider a team’s handicap in computing the final score. The two (2) team members’ aggregate USGA or Golf Canada Handicap Index cannot be greater than 40.0. A professional player may play as part of a team of two (2) and their handicap will be set at 0.0.

    • If a player does not have a verifiable USGA or Golf Canada Handicap, it will be set at 0.

    • The Handicap will be calculated where the event will be held.

    • Each team member will be playing at 70% handicap in the better-ball, stroke play format.

    • A maximum of 18 shots will be awarded towards a player’s handicap.

    • No one will be ”giving back strokes”. The lowest handicap will be set at 0.

    • If a player is a no-show or is late, his/her partner can still play alone.

    For Example:

    • 0.0 + 0.0 = 0.0 (ELIGIBLE)

    • 10.8 + 26.8 = 37.6 (ELIGIBLE)

    • 22.8 + 30.2 = 53.0 (INELIGIBLE, team aggregate USGA or Golf Canada Handicap Index is greater than 40.0)

  • If you do not have an active USGA handicap you may still compete but you will be playing as a 0 handicap with no strokes given.

  • You will be competing against the top two-person teams from private clubs across the New York area. Time to rep NYC public golfers!

  • You can choose to play the tees of your choice. Your net score will adjust accordingly.
