What is Five Boroughs Golf Club?
A golf club for New Yorkers who play public courses.
We were jealous of the perks of belonging to a country club, but not the price. Regular games, tournaments, season standings, club records, and a community to play with.
So we built a club with the same perks, without the country club price tag.
A season long tournament across the city's public courses. A 2v2 Match Play tournament. Weekend tee times already booked. 900+ golfers to play with.
It all runs on a little friendly competition and bragging rights. Not big money. Just enough that you'll want to play more and get better, and the people you play with stop being strangers.

The Five Boroughs Cup
We created this super flexible, play-at-your-convenience, season-long tournament to add a little more juice to every round without losing the casual nature of a round with buddies.
Each month, April to September, we pick a different course to play. Members have 30 days to play and post their score to the tour leaderboard. You must play with another member to attest your score. Members are able to easily communicate and coordinate rounds together via our online Discord chat or by simply registering for one of our outings via the club app. We pre-book prime-time tee times at each of the courses at least twice a month.
Traveling and can't play all five months? Not a problem. Only the best four of five months count to give everyone flexibility.
Scoring is Stableford: points on every hole, and a blow up hole is only a zero. Pick the Net leaderboard and your handicap is in play, so a 22 can beat a 4.
Every month has its own winner and its own prize. The top 72 aggregate stableford points holders from the regular season make the Finals in September.

We book the weekend tee times. You just show up and play.
We lock in prime time blocks at public courses months ahead and call them outing days. Grab a spot, meet your group on the first tee, get your Cup round in and meet new golfers while you're at it.
8AM to 10AM blocks at every course on the schedule, twice a month.
2v2 Match Play City Circuit
Grab a partner or get paired with one. It's you two against another team, knockout style, across courses all over the city.
You'll have 30 days to schedule and play your match. Win and move on. Lose in the first round? You'll enter the consolation bracket and get a second chance at a $500 team prize.
7 rounds and a $3,500 total purse. Sign up deadline March 1st, 2027.

Thursday Night Lights
A two person scramble on the Flushing Meadows par 3, played after dark under the lights. Music, food and prizes. Bring a partner or we'll find you one.
It works for every skill level, and it's the easiest way to meet the club.
$50 for members. $70 for everyone else. Join by October 15 and your first one is free.

Good questions
I'm not very good. Is this for me?
Neither were we when we started this! But we've improved thanks to the club. We intentionally created these tournament formats to allow all skill levels to compete. We can also connect you with amazing instructors in our network.
I don't know any current members.
Most people don't when they start. Through the outing days and Discord, we can guarantee you won't have trouble finding playing partners.
Who signs for my score?
Whoever you played with, as long as they're a member. They attest it in the app.
Do I need a handicap?
Yes. Everyone competing needs an active USGA GHIN. You can purchase through the club for a discount or keep your own.
Why join now if the season starts in April?
Your $95 covers a full year from the day you join, so joining now gets you the whole 2027 season. You also get our fall and winter events and your Five Iron swing evaluation this winter, so you start the season sharper. Join by October 15 and your first 2027 Thursday Night Lights is on us.
I live in Jersey, Long Island, or Westchester.
You're welcome here. The courses are in the five boroughs, and a lot of members come in from outside them. We will also be creating a Westchester County Cup in 2027.
